DESCRIPTION:\nTrue Buddhism/Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism Open meeting\nWe are very pleased to invite you to learn about Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism at an open meeting.\nNichiren Shoshu Buddhism was founded on the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin (1222-1282), a Japanese Buddhist monk who taught that the Lotus Sutra contains the ultimate truth of Buddhism.\nThe practice emphasises devotion to the chanting of Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo as the direct path to enlightenment.\nNichiren Shoshu Buddhism can offer a sense of calm and purpose and is a way to awaken one’s Buddha nature, overcome obstacles, and transform karma.\nThis dynamic practice creates feelings of inner peace, confidence, and clarity, and focuses on discipline, determination, and the pursuit of calm equanimity with a deep, grounding connection to the universe.\nAt the meeting you will be able to observe a ceremonial gongyo and 1 hour shodai\nThere is a cafe downstairs for refreshments Please feel free to drop in for part or all of the meeting.\nWe look forward to welcoming you.\n \n
